Experience:
Mr. Bo Tedards (唐博偉) is Director of the Taiwan Section of Amnesty International, taking up the post in July 2013. An American citizen who has resided in Taiwan for 18 years, he has worked for the Taiwan Association for Human Rights, the Institute for National Policy Research, the Taipei Times, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (as a consultant to the Research and Planning Board). From 2004 to 2013, he worked at the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy (TFD) as coordinator of the World Forum for Democratization in Asia (WFDA), a new regional network of democracy advocates. From 2007 to 2010 he served concurrently as director of the TFD’s International Cooperation Department. He received his Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Tufts University, and his B.A. in Political Science from Yale University. |

Professor Sun is a renowned Taiwanese scholar, who had dedicated his career to promoting science education. He had played an important role in the construction of several observatories in both Taiwan and China. In 2009, professor Sun held the position of the Taiwan region director of International Year of Astronomy, hosting influential exhibitions. Professor Sun is also the author of an award-winning book, a television education show and a several radio shows. The spirit of professor Sun is a great inspiration and encouragement for students. It is also a great representative of the Enlightenment spirit. Therefore, it is a great privilege for us to have professor Sun as the keynote speaker of the conference. |
